DELIVERY LAB / 4 CHECKS

No email yet? Don’t rush to change your address

Start by checking whether the service actually sent the message, then work through the address, queue, and receiving rules. Most verification delays can be pinpointed within five minutes.

Change only one thing at a time

Repeatedly clicking resend, changing addresses, and refreshing mixes up the clues. Keep the current address, record the result of each step, and you can tell whether the problem is on the sending or receiving side.

01

Confirm that the page says “Sent”

The verification button should enter a cooldown period, or the service should show a clear success message. If the form still reports an error, the email has not actually entered the sending queue. First correct any required fields on the service’s form.

02

Check the email address character by character

Compare the local part with the tempfwds.com domain, paying particular attention to extra spaces added during copying. If you recently changed addresses, an old browser tab may still contain the previous one.

03

Wait 2–5 minutes, then refresh

The sender may process messages in batches, and repeated requests can trigger rate limits. Keep this page open and manually refresh the inbox before creating a new mailbox.

04

Check that the address is still active

The inbox will stop receiving new messages when the workspace countdown reaches zero. If you are nearing the three-hour limit, extend it before it expires. Once it has expired, you can only create a new address and submit it again on the service’s website.

05

Check the sender’s disposable-email policy

Some financial services, gaming platforms, and communities explicitly reject disposable domains. That is the sender’s signup policy—not a broken delivery route—and it should not be bypassed.

What you see—and what to do next

No email at all

First check the success message and the spelling of the address. If the inbox is still empty after five minutes, send a test message to the same address from a trusted service to determine whether the issue is limited to one sender.

Old messages appear, but new ones don’t

Check the countdown and the sender’s cooldown period. An old message proves the inbox has worked before, but it does not confirm that the sender’s latest request entered its queue.

The subject appears, but the body is empty

Refresh and reopen the message. Genuine HTML emails load inside an isolated frame; if the sender included only remote images, privacy protections may make the body look nearly empty.

Still can’t find the cause?Send the time it happened, the target website’s domain, the last four characters of the current address, and the message shown on the page to support@tempfwds.com. Do not send verification codes, the full temporary address, or your real email password.
Avoid these mistakes

Three actions that make troubleshooting harder

Resending repeatedly within ten seconds

The sender may keep only the latest verification code and rate-limit repeated requests. Follow the page’s cooldown period, and use only the newest message if several arrive.

Changing the address every time you refresh

The service is still sending messages to the old address while you are checking a new inbox. Keep one address throughout troubleshooting unless you have confirmed that it has expired.

Using it for critical account recovery

Temporary addresses expire, so they are not suitable for banking, healthcare, or work accounts. For replies across multiple days or long-term account recovery, use a forwarding alias or your primary inbox.

Return to the inbox and run the checks

Copy the current address, check the countdown, then manually refresh once more.
